I just read of your mother's death in the AR Democrat. What a wonderful woman and an amazing life. She was the best dorm mother ever. Everyone loved her at Ouachita. I have thought of her many, many times over the years. She was so very proud of you. She left behind a wonderful legacy....YOU! I am praying for you and glad your mom is at peace. Jane, I loved your mom and dad.  Mom Chu and you were a fixture and even after you grew up and moved away, she was loved and revered!  What a legacy they left you!  Dad love your parents and I did too.  Your mom was so proud of all your accomplishments!  Please know I am praying for you as you have to say "until later!"  It'll be great to see them all again someday soon!   Love & prayers, Cindy Elrod Stroud

I worked with Mom Chu for several years before she retired from OBU and loved visiting with her daily.  She baked muffins and cookies and would sell them throughout Cone Bottoms in the mornings and then bring her "lunch money" to the Development Office to put into her scholarship fund.  She was loved by so many and by me.  Always in the best of spirits and loved to laugh.  She loved life and she loved the students.  I could tell more but some will be "our" secret!  She will always have a very special place in my heart!  Jane, you had a very remarkable mother!

Jane, I am Marion Brown Tucker, Taylor Brown's sister. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. While I didn't know her personally, I'm sure she was a wonderful person, and what a glorious smile she had. Sending you and your family blessings of love, strength, peace and healing during this difficult time.
