Walter Langley, age 86, of Tulip, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016. He was born February 27, 1930 to the late Levi and Arcy Gertrude White Langley. Walter was retired from the trucking and sawmill industry and a Baptist. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Vann Langley; a daughter, Martha Jean Langley and one sister, Margie Schoonover.
Survivors are a son, Walter Wayne Langley of Carthage; two daughters, Wanda Lawrence of Tulip, Annette Draper (Kenny) of Malvern; one sister, Zelma Hoover of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren, Kenny Wayne Langley, Angel Ray, Amanda Jones, Stephanie Gifford, Kitty Bass, Scotty Langley, Michelle Williams and Jason Langley; three step-grandchildren, Kenny Draper Jr., Joe Draper and Denise Davis; twenty great-grandchildren and eleven step- great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 7th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro Jerry George officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery near Sparkman. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mack Gifford, Casey Jones, Matt Williams, Kendall Ray, Jeremy Bass, Kenny Draper Jr., Joe Draper and Keith Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Draper, Dale Rhodes and Mike Lawrence.
The family will be at the home of Wanda Lawrence.
