Dorothy “Dottie” Louise Bradshaw Norman, age 85, of Midway, AR passed from this life on December 12, 2019 at home after an extended fight with Alzheimer’s disease.

Dottie was born on May 7, 1934 in Gum Springs, AR to Claude William and Eva Ellis Bradshaw. She was proud to come from a large family; she was the fourth child of nine children.  She was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School.  She loved gardening, and always had a song in her heart.  She was a talented musician who enjoyed playing, writing, and singing country and gospel music.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family.

Dottie is survived by her husband of fifty years, Jimmy D. Norman of the home; sons, Leslie Nelson (Candy) of Springdale, AR, William Nelson of Ramsay, MN, Jimmy Norman, JR (Amy), of Midway, and Michael Norman of Friendship; daughters, Gina Parish (David) of Midway, and Vickie Cooper (Bruce) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Timothy Nelson (Shannon) of Ramsay, MN, Brent Barrett of Little Rock, Cody Parish (Darcy) of Hot Springs, Justin Norman (Tara) of Lafayette, LA, Christopher Nelson (Heather) of Springdale, Jodi Wise (CJ) of Little Rock, Cortney Bryant (Joseph) of Midway, Alex Nelson (Randi) of Fayetteville, Spencer Nelson (Faith) of Farmington, AR, Mason Norman (Alexis) of Donaldson, and Gracie Norman of Midway; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Bradshaw of Magnolia;  sisters, Rose Prince of Bismarck, Mildred Whitson of Curtis, Joan Wetherington of Arkadelphia, and Mary Hollingshead of Amity; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Thomas Bradshaw, Doyle Bradshaw, and Claudie Ware.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay Street, Arkadelphia.  Funeral will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Neighbors Cemetery.
